Video Volunteers Community Correspondent Distributes PPE Kits to ASHA Workers | COVID 19

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic started, the role of frontline health workers like India's ASHA workers has been crucial in tackling the spread of the viral disease. Their work included surveying villages and towns of new infections, spreading awareness about vaccination and the ways to prevent an infection.

However, a majority of ASHA workers and ANMs have either not been given any basic protective equipment or have been given masks, sanitisers only after repeated requests by social organisations like Video Volunteers.

In a similar case from the West Champaran district of Bihar, our Community Correspondent Tanju Devi distributed masks, sanitisers, gloves, face shields to ASHA workers in her community. The protective equipment has been arranged through funds donated by our well-wishers and donors. If you wish to donate to Video Volunteers, please head over to the donate section on this website.
